Tracy Wilson

Artist Tracy Wilson radiates a genuine love for her craft which informs all her work.  Each painting is filled with her intentional energy and sincerity.  Her classical style has evolved into a masterful expression that can be appreciated by a wide range of art enthusiasts.  She has studied techniques of historic Dutch masters and has trained under several contemporary artists as well.

After a 20-year career as an instructional designer where she taught technology courses, designed curriculum, and wrote for subject matter experts, Wilson embarked on her second career as an artist.  “I enjoyed working as an Instructional Designer and greatly appreciate how the skills learned there translate not only to teaching art, but many of the things I do as an artist.  I am thrilled to have arrived at a time and place of life where my first call has become my second career.”

Tracy served for 8 years on the board of directors for the Pastel Society of Colorado where she also had a hand in producing several national and international exhibitions.  Her work has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur magazine, and her paintings have been exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally, and have received numerous awards.  She was the Artist in Residence for the Madden Museum of Art in 2013-2014, is a Signature Member for the Pastel Society of Colorado, an Associate member of Oil Painters of America, and Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers of Washington D.C.  . She teaches classes and workshops in oil and pastel throughout the Denver metro area.
